Terms of Business

1. The Nature of Our Products

  • Bespoke & Made-to-Order: You acknowledge that the kitchen carcasses are ordered specifically for your project and the doors are hand-finished to your chosen colour specification (Farrow & Ball or The Little Greene Paint Company palettes).

  • Hand-Finished Quality: As doors are hand-finished in our Norfolk workshop, slight natural variations in timber grain and finish may occur, which are hallmarks of a premium, handcrafted product.

2. Payment Structure

  • Phase 1 (Deposit): A non-refundable deposit is required to initiate the order. This allows us to secure and order the premium carcasses from our manufacturer.

  • Phase 2 (Balance): The remaining balance is invoiced and due immediately upon the successful delivery and acceptance of the carcasses. Work on hand-finishing your doors will not commence until this balance is cleared.

3. Delivery & Inspection of Carcasses

  • Timeline: We aim to deliver carcasses within 28 working days from the date of deposit. These are delivered directly from the manufacturer to your specified address.

  • The 48-Hour Inspection Rule: Upon delivery, you have exactly 48 hours to inspect the packaging and the items for any damage or faults.

  • Acceptance: If we do not receive written notification of faults or damage within this 48-hour window, the items are deemed "Accepted" and in perfect condition. At this point, the final balance becomes due.

4. Door Finishing & Delivery

  • Timeline: Once the balance is paid, we allow 14 working days for the hand-finishing and delivery of your doors.

  • Colour Selection: You must confirm your colour choice from the Farrow & Ball or The Little Greene Paint Company ranges within 28 working days of the deposit being paid. Once the paint has been purchased by us, any change in colour choice will result in an additional charge for the cost of new materials. Delays confirming your choice of colour could delay the final delivery.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Non-Refundable Status: Due to the bespoke nature of these items:

    • Carcasses: Once the order has been placed with our manufacturer following your deposit, the carcass portion of the order is non-refundable, as these are manufacturered specifically to your requirements, (these are not stock items).

    • Doors (The 7-Day Window): You have a 7-day grace period from the date of the initial deposit to cancel the door elementof your order. Once this 7-day period has passed, we commit to th e purchase of the premium dor blanks from our supplier, and this portion of the order becomens non-refundable.

    • Hand-Finishing: Following the payment of your Phase 2 Balance, we begin the bespoke painting process. Once the paint has been purchased and application has commenced, no changed to colour or specification can be made without addtional charges for materials and labour.

    • Bespoke Nature: As these items are hand-finished to your specific colour choice (e.g., Farrow & Ball or The Little Greene Paint Company), they cannot be returned or exchanged once the finishing process has commenced.

  • While we strive to meet all timelines, Arbor Kitchens of Norfolk shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., manufacturer delays, supply chain disruptions, or "Acts of God").
